Dolang Countryside Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Dolang Countryside Scenic Area. Located in Yuejin Village, Yangtak Township, Maigaiti County, Dolang Countryside is 6 kilometers from downtown Maigaiti. It is the birthplace of both “Dolang Meshrep” and “Dolang Muqam,” boasting rich cultural and tourism resources. There are currently two national-level Dolang artists and eight regional or prefectural-level Dolang artists. “Dolang Countryside” has been successively recognized as an autonomous region-level, national-level, and world-level intangible cultural heritage. Its unique creative style and regional artistic charm have not only won widespread acclaim across China but also caused a stir in countries such as Japan and France.

The Dolang Countryside Scenic Area is divided into eight functional experience zones: the Dolang Folk Culture Exhibition Area, the Dolang Culture Display Corridor, the Dolang Folk Performance Area, the Dolang Indigenous Residential Area, the Public Service Area, the Orchard Courtyard Area, the Catering and Accommodation Area, and the Commercial Trade Area.

The Dolang Countryside Scenic Area takes the excavation and enhancement of Dolang culture as its cornerstone, integrating the appreciation of Dolang Meshrep, Dolang Muqam, Dolang folk customs, folk experiences, agricultural experiences, and rural homestay experiences, all organically and interactively arranged throughout the scenic spots.

It features strong elements and regional symbols of southern Xinjiang’s oases, the Yarkand River, Uyghur culture, and Dolang culture, while maintaining harmony with the surrounding landscape. Through the organic integration of regional cultural elements, Dolang Countryside residences are distributed in a well-spaced manner within the oasis landscape space. By creating an indigenous oasis rural landscape, urbanization traces are minimized, enhancing its rustic charm, regional characteristics, and closeness to the production and daily life needs of local people. It showcases Dolang folk culture to the world, allows visitors to experience Dolang folk customs, and fully enjoy the joy brought by Dolang culture.
