Kelan Daxing Temple
Daxing Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Kelan County.
Daxing Temple is located east of Dahua Village, Shuiyuguan Township, Kelan County. The temple was destroyed in the 1960s, and only the main hall remains today, built in the Qing Dynasty style. It faces south and covers an area of 105 square meters. The brick platform has a width of 13.8 meters, depth of 7.6 meters, and height of 1.3 meters. The structure features five bays in width and five rafters in depth, with a single-eave flush gable roof. It has a six-rafter front-porch framework, with bracket sets on the column tops and single-layered eaves. The interior beams and brackets are relatively intact, and the wooden structure is finely crafted. The front eaves are adorned with carved floral patterns, and the wooden plaque above the door reads “Daxing Temple.” In 1984, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage site by the Kelan County People’s Government.
