The Yellow River Tourism Area includes three administrative counties: Pianguan, Hequ, and Baode. After passing through Hekou Town in Togtoh County, Inner Mongolia, the Yellow River enters the approximately 180-kilometer-long "Jin-Shaan Gorge," where it roars and surges. The river width varies, the valley is deep-cut, the mountains are steep and rugged, and the waters run swift, creating a majestic spectacle. Particularly within the surging Yellow River are two small islands named Niangniangtan (Goddess Beach) and Taizitan (Crown Prince Beach). The islands boast picturesque scenery, peaceful villagers, and many legendary tales and historical stories. Visitors here feel as if they are in a "fairyland like Penglai" or a "utopia beyond the mundane world." The world-famous "Tianqiao Rapids" are located between Shitidian Village in Hequ County and Shuizhaizhoudao Island, stretching 20 kilometers in length. The continuous rapids in the deep gorge and the unbroken mountain ridges form a spectacular view that leaves visitors in awe and fills them with joy. The treacherous "Wumilang" shoal lies in the middle of the gorge, where several jagged boulders stand tall. The rapids burst through the rocky channels, sending up splashing waves and water mist that blot out the sun, inspiring both fear and wonder. Near Tianqiao Village, ice forms a natural bridge in winter, with rushing waters roaring beneath it. The deafening sound of the current has earned it the name "Tianqiao" (Heavenly Bridge).
