The founding date is unknown. The temple faces south with its back to the north, higher in the north and lower in the south, and was built along the terrain. Its main structures include the Main Hall, South Hall, East and West Side Halls, Smallpox Goddess Temple, Mountain God Temple, Wenchang Pavilion, Guan Yu Temple, Kṣitigarbha Hall, Arhat Hall, and Bhikkhu Hall, among others. Among these, the South Hall and the Main Hall are remnants from the Yuan Dynasty, while the rest were built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties.

The South Hall is three bays wide and two bays deep, with a single-eave hanging hip roof. Its bracket sets feature simplified designs. It is one of the principal structures of the temple, connected to the Main Hall. The architectural style is simple yet dignified, reflecting typical features of Yuan Dynasty religious buildings.
