White Robe Hall

White Robe Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinzhou City.

White Robe Hall is located at Baipingdi, Xiguan Village, Xinguang Town, Pianguan County. It faces south and measures 49.2 meters in length from north to south and 36.5 meters in width from east to west, covering an area of 1,795.8 square meters. According to the inscriptions preserved in the temple, it was first built in the seventh year of the Chenghua reign of the Ming Dynasty (1471), and underwent multiple renovations during the 23rd year of the Daoguang reign (1843) and the 6th year of the Guangxu reign (1880), with the existing structures dating back to the Qing Dynasty. The site features a two-courtyard layout, with the Heavenly King Hall and White Robe Hall situated along the central axis, and side halls and wing rooms on both the eastern and western sides. The White Robe Hall is a two-story pavilion-style building, three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a single-eave flush gable roof; the ground floor consists of a cave dwelling with a wooden front eave, and there are two brick-arched wing caves on each of the eastern and western sides, each topped with a two-bay wooden pavilion with a rolled shed and flush gable roof, accessible by brick-and-stone staircases on the east and west. Each of the side halls on the east and west has five bays and features a flush gable roof. The Heavenly King Hall is three bays wide and six rafters deep, with a hanging gable roof, and has brick-arched side entrances on both sides. To the east, there are six bays of side halls functioning as meditation rooms, and to the west, seven bays, all with flush gable roofs. There are wing rooms on the east and west, and six stone stelae are located at the front. It was designated as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit in 2007.
