Xiangshan Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Fanshi County.

Xiangshan Temple is situated on the mountaintop 2.5 kilometers west of Dabao Village, Yantou Township, Fanshi County. It faces east. The temple is 12.7 meters long from east to west and 6.7 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of 85.1 square meters. Its establishment date is uncertain, but the current structure dates back to the Qing Dynasty. Originally designed as a single-courtyard complex, only one stone cave remains, while the others have been rebuilt in modern times. The cave is three bays wide, with each bay measuring 2.65 meters in width and 6.7 meters in depth, constructed from block stones. On April 15, 1985, the Fanshi County People's Government designated it as a county-level cultural heritage site.

The township government is based in Yantou Village, approximately 30 kilometers from the county seat. In 2002, the former Yantou, Chapu, and Kuantan townships were merged into Yantou Township, which now administers 56 administrative villages and 17 natural villages.

Yantou Township lies within the Wutai Mountain range, featuring rugged terrain with deep valleys. The E River runs through the entire area, and it boasts abundant forest and mineral resources.
