Xiashuangjing Site

The Xiashuangjing Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Fanshi County.

The Xiashuangjing Site is located 500 meters southeast of Xiashuangjing Village, Jiyizhuang Township, Fanshi County. The terrain where the site is situated is divided into eastern and western parts by the Shuangjing River, sloping from north to south in a terraced pattern. On the west bank of the river, the site stretches 300 meters from north to south and 200 meters from east to west, covering an area of 60,000 square meters; on the east bank, the site extends 600 meters from north to south and 300 meters from east to west, covering an area of 180,000 square meters. Open ash pits are exposed on the cliff face, measuring 1.5 meters in width and 0.5 meters in depth, with rounded bottoms. Collected artifacts include gray pottery shards with sand inclusions and corded patterns. Based on these findings, the site is determined to be from the Longshan Culture period of the Neolithic Age.
