Pingxing Pass Fort is a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level.

Pingxing Pass Fort is located in Pingxingguan Village, Hengjian Township, Fanshi County. It has a rectangular layout, with a perimeter of 1,050 meters and covers an area of 65,000 square meters. The overall preservation condition is fair. The fort originally had three gates — the East Gate, South Gate, and North Gate. The East Gate has been completely destroyed. The remaining base of the South Gate is still in place: it is 2.5 meters wide, 3.4 meters high, and extends 5.6 meters deep. The surviving section of the gate tower is about 5.1 meters high, though its architectural details are unclear. Both the northern and southern sides of the fort have barbicans. The South Gate barbican has been destroyed, while the North Gate barbican is relatively well preserved, with its gate panels still intact. The barbican has an East Gate that is a one-entry two-arch style. This structure dates back to the Ming Dynasty. In 1961, it was designated as a Major Historical and Cultural Site Protected at the National Level by the State Council.
