Ningwu Drum Tower

The Ningwu Drum Tower is located at the intersection of Renmin Avenue in the Neighborhood Committee Office of Ningwu County. It faces west and covers an area of approximately 306 square meters. Built during the Ming Dynasty, the current structure dates back to that period. The drum tower is a two-story pavilion-style building, standing 20 meters tall in total. The first floor consists of a brick-and-stone platform base about 10 meters high, featuring a cross-shaped arched passageway that runs through the center, connecting all four directions — east, west, south, and north. The archways on the east and west sides are inlaid with stone plaques; the western plaque is inscribed with “Feng Yi” (Phoenix Grace), while the eastern one bears the characters “Han Yang” (Embracing the Sun), with the inscription “Reconstructed in the Xinyou Year of the Guangxu Reign” at the bottom.
