Xinzhou Five Great Mountains Temple

The Xinzhou Five Great Mountains Temple is a cultural heritage protection unit of Xinzhou City.

The Five Great Mountains Temple is located in Linghuzhuang Village, Caozhang Township, Xinfu District. It faces south and covers an area of 890 square meters. Its exact date of construction is unknown, but according to an inscription on the ridge beam of the main hall, it was renovated in the second year of the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty (1852). The temple has a single-courtyard layout. The existing main hall is three bays wide and six rafters deep, featuring a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, a seven-rafter front corridor-style framework, bracket sets, and other features. There are also ancient pines on the premises. On April 10, 1985, the former People's Government of Xinzhou City (a county-level city) designated it as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection unit. Linghuzhuang Village: Linghuzhuang Village in Caozhang Township, Xinfu District, is situated in the Xin-Ding Basin, approximately 22 kilometers east of Xinfu City. Located on a flat plain, it lies six li east of Dajun, two li south of Gucun, five li west of Zhangcun, and eight li north of Wangfuzhuang. The village is adjacent to the Xinzhou-Jincheng Highway, a major transportation route, ensuring convenient access. The terrain of Linghuzhuang Village is higher in the north and lower in the south. It has a temperate continental climate with distinct seasons throughout the year: dry and windy springs, hot summers with concentrated rainfall, cool and clear autumns, and cold winters with little snow.
