Martyr Yue Yungui’s Tomb

Martyr Yue Yungui’s Tomb is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinzhou City.

Martyr Yue Yungui’s Tomb is located in Shijiazhuang Village, Qicun Town, Xinfu District. It faces south with its back to the north, measuring 30 meters from east to west and 50 meters from north to south. Yue Yungui (1932–1947) served as the leader of the children's corps in Shijiazhuang Village during the Liberation War. He was martyred on the ninth day of the twelfth lunar month in 1947 at the age of just 15. After 1949, he was posthumously recognized as a young hero, and Martyr Yue Yungui’s Cemetery was established. The site includes one tomb, one memorial stele, and a three-room memorial hall. On June 6, 2007, the People’s Government of Xinzhou City designated it as a municipal-level cultural relic protection unit. Content excerpted from ("A Collection of Cultural Relics in Xinzhou").

Shijiazhuang Village: Shijiazhuang Village is located by the Yunzhong River, 30 kilometers northwest of Xinfu District, covering an area of 1,500 mu. It administers five villager groups, with 1,115 households and a population of 3,315. The village Party branch has 90 members, distributed across five Party groups. The arable land amounts to 7,120 mu, and the per capita income in 2010 was 4,000 yuan. The land in Shijiazhuang Village is fertile and well-watered, suitable for growing a variety of crops. The main crop is corn, supplemented by watermelon and zucchini seed cultivation. Livestock farming mainly includes chickens, pigs, cattle, and sheep.
