Site of the Muma River Narrow-Gauge Railway Bridge

The site of the Muma River Narrow-Gauge Railway Bridge is located between the highway bridge and the Datong-Puzhou Railway bridge to the west of Douluo Village, Douluo Town, Xinfu District. Constructed in 1920 during the rule of Yan Xishan, the warlord of Shanxi, it was used for transportation and is characterized by its track gauge, which is smaller than standard railway tracks, hence called narrow-gauge or small-gauge railway. Today, only seven of the original bridge piers remain; each pier is 5.2 meters long, 1.1 meters wide (at the center), and 3.5 meters high. Douluo Village: Douluo Village in Douluo Town, Xinfu District, is situated at the foot of Wufeng Mountain, along the Muma River, to the east of National Highway 108 and on both sides of the Datong-Yuncheng Expressway. Located on the Loess Plateau in a hilly area, it serves as the economic and cultural hub of Douluo Town. The village has 605 households, a population of 1,792, over 1,000 migrant residents, and 2,700 mu of arable land. Transportation is very convenient.
