The Xing Family Courtyard

The Xing Family Courtyard is located in the southern part of the dormitory compound of the State Grid Corporation in Kuang Village, Xinxian Road Subdistrict, Xinfu District. It faces east and measures 12 meters from east to west and 16 meters from north to south, covering an area of 192 square meters. Built in the eighth year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1821), it was originally part of the Xing family’s residence in Kuang Village. In the 1950s, it was the site of Xinzhou Nursing School, later became the site of the Education College, and in 1989 was purchased by the municipal power company, which converted the courtyard into staff dormitories. Currently, only one entrance hall remains, featuring five bays in width, four rafters in depth, decorative brackets, and other architectural elements.
