Xinzhou Tieliang Bridge

Xinzhou Tieliang Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Xinzhou City.

Tieliang Bridge is located about 3,000 meters west of Liansigou Village, Zhuangmo Town, Xinfu District. It runs from north to south and covers an area of 285 square meters. The date of its construction is unknown, but the existing structure dates back to the Jin and Yuan dynasties. It spans 13 meters, with a width of 4.6 meters and a rise of 6.3 meters. There are two pairs of stone lions at the ends of the bridge. Tieliang Bridge is a single-arch flat stone bridge, and all the connections on the arch surfaces are secured with double waist irons, which is why it is commonly known as the Iron Beam Bridge. The sides of the bridge deck are equipped with railings, and there are 8 viewing barriers and 10 viewing pillars on both sides, with the pillars being 0.77 meters high and 1.25 meters long. The patterns on the pillars vary, and the carvings are exquisitely crafted, vividly depicting figures, landscapes, flowers, and birds—truly exquisite and peerless. Liansigou Village: Overview of Liansigou: Located in a hilly mountainous area, it is situated 27 kilometers southwest of Xinzhou. Liansigou Village lies in a mountain valley and was originally connected to Sanguard Temple, hence the name Liansigou (Connected Temple Valley). It currently has 171 hectares of arable land, 206 households, and a population of 560, with agriculture as the main economic activity. Apples and walnuts are the special products of Liansigou Village.
