The Shangfeng Pavilion Gate

The Shangfeng Pavilion Gate is located in Shangfeng Village, Zhuangmo Town, Xinfu District. It faces east and is situated westward, measuring 7.5 meters from east to west and 6.6 meters from north to south. Its construction date is unknown, but the existing structure dates back to the Kangxi era (1662–1722) of the Qing Dynasty. The base is built of stone, and the gate opening is 3 meters wide and 3.2 meters high. The wooden structure is a single bay in width and six rafters in depth, featuring a dougong with a "one-dou two-sheng" configuration and hemp-leaf corners. The eaves... Shangfeng Village: Located in a hilly mountainous area, it lies 27 kilometers southwest of Xinzhou. The village is named after the Shang family and was originally called Feng Village. The 1880 Xinzhou Annals also refers to it as Feng Village. In 1971, it was divided into two villages, with the upper part known as Shangfeng Village. It currently has 140 households, a population of 330, and cultivates 80 hectares of farmland. The local economy is primarily agricultural.
