Qifeng Temple

Qifeng Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Xinfu District.

Qifeng Temple is located to the north of Sun Village, Dongcun Town, Xinfu District. It faces south and covers an area of 2,542 square meters. The year of its establishment is unknown. The temple has a single-courtyard layout, with structures arranged along the central axis in the following order: the mountain gate, the passing hall, the Mahavira Hall, the east and west side halls, and the east and west wing rooms. Except for the Mahavira Hall, which dates back to the Ming Dynasty, all other buildings were constructed during the Qing Dynasty. The Mahavira Hall is three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a single-eave hanging gable roof, a five-purlin column-and-beam structure without a porch, and bracket sets of the five-curved double-ang type, including 45-degree diagonal brackets. The passing hall is also three bays wide and four rafters deep, featuring a single-eave hanging gable roof. The east and west side halls are three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a single-eave hanging gable roof. On April 10, 1985, the former People's Government of Xinzhou City (a county-level city) designated it as a municipal-level cultural heritage site. Sun Village: Located south of the town government in Dongcun Town, Xinfu District, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, Sun Village is traversed on its eastern side by the Da Guang Expressway and Provincial Highway 213 (formerly National Highway 106).
