Qincheng Longfu Temple

Qincheng Longfu Temple is a cultural heritage site protected by Xinfu District.

Longfu Temple is located in Qincheng Village, Qincheng Township, Xinfu District. It faces south and covers an area of 675 square meters. The year of its establishment is unknown. According to an inscription on the ridge beam of the main hall, it was rebuilt in the sixth year of the Tian Shun era of the Ming Dynasty (1462), and renovated during the seventeenth year of the Kangxi reign (1678) and the twenty-third year of the Daoguang reign (1843) of the Qing Dynasty. The current structure dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. The main hall is three bays wide and four rafters deep, featuring a single-eave suspended gable roof and a five-rafter, corridor-free structural system. The bracket sets are complex, and the interior is adorned with colorful paintings. There are stone drums outside the hall. A total of 10 stone tablets are found within the temple grounds, along with one stone stele. On April 10, 1985, the former Xinzhou Municipal People's Government (county-level city) designated it as a municipal-level cultural heritage protection site. Xulai Street Subdistrict: A township under the jurisdiction of Xinzhou City. In 1958, it was part of the Weixing Commune; in 1961, the Qincheng Commune was split off; and in 1984, it was established as a township. Located in the northeastern part of the city, it is 15 kilometers from downtown. Covering an area of 60.3 square kilometers, it has a population of 20,000. The Dayun Highway and the Tongpu Railway run through the area. The local agriculture mainly focuses on growing sorghum and millet. Township enterprises include a coking plant, a weaving factory, and a brick kiln. There is also a hot spring resort in the area.
