The former site of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region Bank is located to the south of Pujisi Temple in Shizui Village, Shizui Township, Wutai County. On March 2, 1938 (the 27th year of the Republic of China), the government of the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region converted the southern courtyard of Pujisi Temple into the bank, establishing three branch offices: Jijin (for Hebei-Ji region), Jicha (for Hebei-Cha region), and Jizhong (for central Hebei).

The first manager was Guan Xuewen, with over 20 employees. In August, the bank relocated to Fuping, Hebei. The site currently features a vault housed within a stone cave at the base of the inner wall of the southern wing room. The cave entrance is 0.7 meters wide and 1.73 meters high. Inside, the cave is divided into two levels connected by a 90-degree turn. The upper stone cave measures 5 meters long, 2.25 meters wide, and 2.03 meters high; the lower stone cave is 4 meters long, 2.15 meters wide, and 2.6 meters high. The ceiling bears an inscription reading “Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region Bank, built in mid-autumn of the 27th year of the Republic of China.” The site covers an area of 19 square meters. Shizui Village: Introduction to Shizui Village

Shizui Village is situated along the Xinzhou–Wutai tourist route, by the Qingshui River, 62 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Hebei Province and Fuping County to the east and lies at the foot of Mount Wutai, a renowned Buddhist holy site, to the north. It serves as a tourism and lifestyle service area for the Buddhist sacred site Mount Wutai. The village has a population of 729 residents across 343 households, covering an area of 2.5 square kilometers.
