The main gate of the communal canteen

The main gate of the communal canteen is located in the residential courtyard of Zhao Fengwei at the center of Danantou Village, Yangbai Township, Wutai County. During the mass canteen movement in 1958, this courtyard served as the production team canteen. The existing gate faces east and sits to the west, covering an area of 9 square meters. It is built of brick with a small gable roof and features a single wooden door. The lintel is covered in cement, with a three-dimensional five-pointed star in the center and the inscription “Long Live the Canteen.”
