Cheng Fei’s Former Residence is a cultural tourism attraction.

Cheng Fei’s Former Residence is located at No. 11 Er’nanyi Alley, Hua’i Village, Dongye Town, Wutai County. Cheng Fei, originally named Zhao Shusheng, was a native of Hua’i Village and born in 1924. After 1949, he served as Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations. The residence faces south and covers an area of 720 square meters. In its early days, it had a two-courtyard layout, but now the second gate and decorative wall have been destroyed. It has a brick arched main gate with a plaque inscribed “Rui Ning” (Auspicious Gathering), and stone-carved horse-tying posts in front. The north house is seven bays wide and five rafters deep, with a flush-gable roof. The central bay is set back and fitted with six-panel lattice doors, retaining their original form. The east and west wing rooms are each six bays wide and four rafters deep, with barrel-vaulted flush-gable roofs. The south room is one bay wide and deep, with a barrel-vaulted hip-and-gable roof. The bracket sets and other details follow traditional design.
