Yangbai Futian Temple

Yangbai Futian Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the county level in Wutai County.

Yangbai Futian Temple is located in the center of Yangbai Village, Yangbai Township, Wutai County. Its exact founding date is unknown. According to inscriptions on the beams of the main hall, it was renovated in the eighth year of the Chenghua era during the Ming Dynasty (1472) and expanded in the first year of the Daoguang era during the Qing Dynasty (1821). The temple faces south and covers an area of approximately 270 square meters.

The Hall of Heavenly Kings is three bays wide, four rafters deep, with a flush-gable roof covered in gray tiles. The central bay has a plank door, and the side bays have windows; it was built during the Qing Dynasty. The main hall originally had five bays, but now only one and a half remain, with the rest destroyed. The main hall is five rafters deep, features a front porch, and has a single-eave suspended gable roof with gray tiles. The column capitals feature three sets of brackets with five tiers and double upward-curved angles. There are 45-degree bracket arms, and the roof eaves and rafters are carved with delicate designs. The hall's interior is divided into multiple sections. It is a representative example of architecture from the Ming Dynasty. Yangbai Township: Yangbai Township is located in the eastern part of Wutai County. It borders TaiCheng Town to the east, Dongye Town to the south, Yuanping to the west, and Dai County to the north.

The township has 28 administrative villages, a population of 24,329, and 6,231 laborers. It is the main pear and fruit-producing area in Wutai.
