Guanghua Temple on Mount Wutai is a cultural relic protection unit of Wutai County.

Guanghua Temple on Mount Wutai is located 200 meters southeast of Dongzhuang Village, Taihuai Town, Wutai County. It faces south and measures 103.81 meters from east to west and 132.27 meters from north to south, covering an area of 12,800 square meters.

According to the Qing Dynasty’s *Wutai County Annals*, it was built in the 12th year of the Guangxu reign (1886). The existing structures, except for the Manjushri Hall, the Mahavira Hall, and the side halls—which date back to the Qing Dynasty—are all newly built. The temple follows a two-courtyard layout, with the central axis successively featuring the mountain gate, the Heavenly King Hall, the Manjushri Hall, and the Mahavira Hall. On both sides are the bell and drum towers, monks' quarters, as well as side courtyards that include the dining hall, monks' rooms, a stupa, and toilets. The Mahavira Hall sits on a stone platform foundation, has five bays in width and six rafters in depth, and features a single-eave hip-and-gable roof surrounded by corridors. Its frame follows a seven-rafter front-and-rear corridor style, with a square-grid flat ceiling on top. The front eaves’ middle and side bays, as well as the rear eaves’ middle bay, all have four-panel six-folded ball-screen doors. Inside the hall, four newly sculpted Buddha statues stand on the altar. The temple also houses five stone stupas and two stupas. In July 1988, the Wutai County People's Government designated it as a county-level cultural relic protection unit.
