Cifu Temple on Mount Wutai

Cifu Temple on Mount Wutai is a cultural relic protection unit of Wutai County.

Cifu Temple on Mount Wutai is located about 300 meters west of Dongzhuang Village, Taihuai Town, Wutai County. It faces south with a northward orientation, stretching 85 meters from east to west and 155 meters from north to south, covering an area of 13,000 square meters. The year of its establishment is unknown.

According to an inscription in the main hall, it was renovated in the first year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1821). Except for the newly built mountain gate, all existing structures date back to the Qing Dynasty. The temple features a five-courtyard layout, with structures along the central axis including the mountain gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Manjushri Hall, and the Scripture Depository, flanked by side halls and wing rooms. The temple houses ten statues from the Song and Qing dynasties, as well as seven steles from the Republican era.
