Lingying Temple at the Northern Summit of Mount Wutai is a cultural relic protection unit of Wutai County.

Lingying Temple at the Northern Summit of Mount Wutai is located approximately 3,300 meters north of Miaode'an Natural Village, Yangpodao Village, Taihuai Town, Wutai County. It faces south, measures 69.78 meters from east to west and 99.57 meters from north to south, covering an area of 6,948 square meters.

According to the Ming Dynasty’s *Qingliang Mountain Records*, it was built in the first year of the Kaihuang era of the Sui Dynasty (581). It was rebuilt in the 22nd year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1683). The current structures were all reconstructed in the 1980s and 1990s. Along the central axis, a new Hall of Heavenly Kings, a water pool, and the Manjushri Hall have been built, with bell and drum towers, monastic quarters, and the Dining Hall on the eastern and western sides. Outside the temple, a new Hall of the Dragon King Guangji has been constructed, along with a stupa dedicated to Monk Yin Feng. Only nine Buddhist statues from the Qing Dynasty remain, along with one Yin Feng Stupa and two damaged steles at the mountain gate outside the temple.
