Fifth-Level Futian Temple

Fifth-Level Futian Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Fifth-Level Futian Temple is located in Wujicun Village, Dongye Town, Wutai County. According to inscriptions on steles, the temple was built in the sixth year of the Jiaqing reign during the Qing Dynasty (1801). It faces south and covers an area of 1,191 square meters. The layout consists of a single entrance leading to two courtyards, with the main axis featuring, in sequence, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Transitional Hall, the Scripture Depository, and the Main Hall.

The Hall of Heavenly Kings is three bays wide and five rafters deep, with a front porch, a flush gable and hip roof with rolled eaves, and bell and drum towers on both sides. A mountain gate is situated beside the Hall of Heavenly Kings, with a pair of stone lions on the terrace. The Transitional Hall is three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a flush gable and hip roof covered in gray tiles, and east and west side halls, each four bays wide. The Scripture Depository is one bay wide and three rafters deep, with a front porch, a single-eave hip-and-gable roof, latticed windows, and two stone stelae embedded in the back wall. The Main Hall is three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a front porch, a flush gable and hip roof covered in gray tiles, and half-bay side chambers on both sides. Three stone steles date from the Jiaqing and Guangxu eras of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period.
