The Zhang Family Courtyard in Huaiyin is a cultural relic protection unit of Wutai County.

The Zhang Family Courtyard in Huaiyin is located in Huaiyin Village, Dongye Town, Wutai County. It is a Qing Dynasty–era building. Facing south with a northern orientation, it covers an area of 480 square meters. The main house has a width of three bays, a depth of five rafters, a rolled shed flush gable roof, a front corridor, and one-and-a-half-bay side rooms on each side. The east and west wing rooms each have three bays, a depth of three rafters, and a flush gable roof covered with gray tiles, with the central bay featuring a door and the side bays having windows. The southern room has three bays, a depth of three rafters, and a flush gable roof covered with gray tiles, with beam ends extending out to support the bracket sets. The gate is built with brick arches and features a flush gable roof, with a plaque inscribed “Shou Fu An” (“Longevity, Happiness, and Peace”). Directly opposite the gate is a screen wall. Huaiyin Village: Nestled against Longshan Mountain and fronted by the Hutuo River and Xiaohuanghe River—where the two waterways converge—Huaiyin Village boasts uniquely beautiful scenery, a mild and moist climate, and an elevation of 740 meters. Spring arrives particularly early here, earning it the reputation of “Early Greenery in Huaiyin.” The entire village faces south with a northern orientation and has a long, narrow layout stretching 4 kilometers from east to west. Villager homes are scattered across high ridges and deep valleys, among which are numerous courtyard homes dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as many cultural relics and historic sites.
