Dongru Huayan Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Dongru Huayan Temple is located in Dongru Village, Rucun Township, Wutai County. It is a Ming Dynasty structure. The temple faces south and features a courtyard layout, covering an area of 624 square meters. The main hall to the south is the Mahavira Hall, which is three bays wide and five rafters deep, with a front porch, a flush-gable roof covered with gray tiles, a stone base, and seven steps leading up. The central bay has a door, while the side bays have windows. The dwarf column under the beam in the hall features a cloud-shaped joint, and the joints of the three-tier beams are supported by dougong blocks. The interior uses square rafters throughout, laid with board flooring, and houses the Huayan Trinity. There are left and right wing rooms, each one and a half bays wide and two rafters deep, with flush-gable roofs. The west room is five bays wide and four rafters deep, with a flush-gable roof, and houses statues of the Three Great Bodhisattvas, serving as a chanting hall. The east room is five bays wide and four rafters deep, with a flush-gable roof. The central bay is the Kṣitigarbha Hall, housing the Kṣitigarbha King, with newly painted murals covering 26 square meters. The north side is the Heavenly King Hall, three bays wide and four rafters deep, with a flush-gable roof. The dwarf column under the beam in this hall also features a cloud-shaped wooden joint, with the joints of the three-tier beams supported by dougong blocks. The hall houses the Four Heavenly Kings, with an altar in the center, Maitreya Buddha in the front, and Skanda Buddha at the back. A side door is located next to the hall.
