Xifu Site

The Xifu Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Xifu Site is located on the second-level terrace on the west bank of the Hutuo River, about 1,000 meters from Xifu Village in Taicheng Town, Wutai County. It covers an area of approximately 4,000 square meters. The exposed cultural layer along the cliff face is about 1.5–2 meters thick. Artifacts collected include gray pottery shards made of fine clay and sandy clay, decorated with cord marks. It is a Neolithic Age site. (From "A Collection of Cultural Relics in Xinzhou").

Xifu Village: Xifu Village is adjacent to the county town, covering an administrative area of 0.89 million mu, of which only 125 mu are arable land, with per capita arable land of 0.2 mu. The village has 158 households and a population of 404. The shortage of land resources has long been a bottleneck restricting the development of agricultural production in Xifu Village. In response to this situation, the village has leveraged its resource advantages and geographical location to shift its development focus to secondary and tertiary industries, heavily investing in urban construction, transportation, and catering services for both urban and rural areas. In 2005, the per capita net income of the village was 2,648 yuan, with 92.5% coming from secondary and tertiary industries.
