Wangjiawei Site
The Wangjiawei Site is a cultural tourism attraction.
The Wangjiawei Site is located on the terrace north of the Hutuo River in Wangjiawei, 1,000 meters east of Dongyang Village, Gounan Township, Wutai County. It covers an area of 600,000 square meters. Artifacts collected here include fragments of sand-tempered gray pottery and clay gray pottery, featuring decorative patterns such as cord marks, basketry patterns, and appliqué ridges, with vessel shapes including pottery necks of li tripods. These remains are attributed to the Baiyan type of the Longshan Culture from the Neolithic Age. On July 1, 1987, the People's Government of Wutai County designated it as a county-level cultural relics protection unit. (Content excerpted from "Xinzhou Cultural Relics Collection")
