The Camel Trail is located in Yuxian County, Shanxi Province. The route twists and turns along the mountain, with roads winding up and down the slopes, resembling the undulating back of a camel—hence the name "Camel Trail." The ancient village built against the mountains features buildings of varying heights crisscrossing in all directions.
