North China Yifeng Ecological Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

North China Yifeng Ecological Park is located adjacent to Yangquan North Railway Station. It is a large-scale ecological project invested in and constructed by Yangquan Yuxian Shidian Coal Industry Co., Ltd., integrating ecology, environmental protection, sightseeing, tourism, breeding, planting, and processing. The park represents an active exploration and practice in transitioning from a resource-based economy to a diversified one. This approach holds significant implications and reference value for the economy of Jingxing County, which also faces heavy environmental pressures, as well as for the survival of some traditional industrial enterprises.

The ecological park covers a planned area of 13,000 mu, mostly consisting of loess hills and gullies. Apart from Jiangxiuping Village, which is enclosed within the park, other areas border villages. A large amount of leased land can be used for planting, breeding, and park construction. For the first phase of development, infrastructure construction, forestation, nurseries, planting, and breeding largely avoid conflicts of interest with local villagers. The expansive nurseries create a striking visual effect, and the colorful plant arrangements could be even more effective if applied to the terraced fields of Jingxing.

The Shengxianle Ecological Hotel, spanning over 7,000 square meters, cost more than 30 million yuan to build. Its scale and grade surpass those of Shennong Manor in Shijiazhuang and the ecological restaurant in Changzhi. Its landscape artistry and dining environment are top-notch. Jingxing also needs to introduce new concepts and models of eco-themed restaurants. The scale doesn’t have to be particularly large—moderate is sufficient—but being able to host large wedding banquets could pioneer green ecological weddings in Jingxing. Depending on operational performance, further expansion is possible. In addition to maintaining the greenhouse ecological restaurant’s pursuit of decorative effects with southern flowers and plants, it should also incorporate the function of preserving and promoting the regional culture of Jingxing, reflecting cultural symbols such as ceramics, stone carvings, and folk songs and dances.
