The "April 8th" Martyrs' Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism attraction.

Introduction: The "April 8th" Martyrs' Memorial Hall is located in Zhuangshang Village, 50 kilometers south of Xing County, and is also known as the Wang Ruofei Memorial Hall. On April 8, 1946, 13 people including Wang Ruofei, Qin Bangxian, Deng Fa, Ye Ting, and Huang Qisheng were on a plane returning from Chongqing to Yan'an when it crashed due to navigational error. On the day of the crash, local residents heard the sound of the aircraft, but because Mount Heicha is densely forested and sparsely populated within a 15-li radius, it was not until the next day that villagers found the wreckage while gathering firewood. Central leaders including Mao Zedong personally composed inscriptions and articles in memory of the martyrs, with Mao writing: "Those who die for the people's benefit die a glorious death." A total of 15,000 people from all walks of life in the Jin-Sui region attended the memorial service. At the original crash site of the "April 8th" Martyrs, there are 13 stone memorial tablets for five martyrs including Wang Ruofei, Ye Ting, and Qin Bangxian, as well as their attendants, and two stone stelae recording the martyrs' biographies and details of the crash. At the foot of the mountain stands the "April 8th" Martyrs' Memorial Hall, which features a main hall with five rooms facing north, three auxiliary rooms on the east and west sides, and a monumental arch-style gate to the south. It is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. Mount Heicha boasts lush forests and rich vegetation, making it an ideal place for traditional education, hiking, sightseeing, and enjoying the scenery. Ticket / Opening Hours: 5 RMB
