Baiyagou Site

The Baiyagou Site is located to the north of Baiyagou Village, Ehu Tan Town, Xing County, Lüliang City. It sits on the second terrace on the northern bank of the upper reaches of the Weifen River and dates back to the Longshan period, covering a total area of approximately 1.2 million square meters. The stone city was built on three sides—east, west, and north—with the river encircling the southern side. The city walls are relatively well-preserved, and multiple residential areas as well as burial grounds have been discovered within the city, with ground paintings commonly found in house foundations and featuring rich and diverse imagery.
