Olive River Hot Springs, located in the Olive River Gorge about 4 kilometers north of Kejie Town in Changning County, lies 33 kilometers east of Changning County town and 53 kilometers west of Baoshan City government. At an elevation of 2,525 meters, it enjoys an average annual temperature of 19.5°C and an average annual rainfall of 960 mm. It is one of the well-known hot spring resources in western Yunnan.

The hottest spring water reaches a temperature of 80

°C. There are over 10 springs, with a total discharge of 0.08 cubic meters per second. The largest spring discharges 0.025 cubic meters per second. The hot spring water is colorless and transparent, containing various elements such as potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, and fluoride. Renowned for its miraculous effects in dispelling wind-dampness and invigorating the spleen and stomach, it is highly favored by visitors. Every winter and spring, guests from far and wide flock here to camp, bathe for therapeutic purposes, relax, and enjoy their holidays—truly a delightful experience.

The area features unique landforms with oddly shaped rocks in diverse postures. Hot springs either gush forth or seep slowly from the mountainside, shrouded in mist.
