After passing "Pu'er," you'll arrive at "Jinggu." The Love Tree grows on the hillside just outside Jinggu city. The Love Tree is actually two trees that have grown together.

The legend goes like this: A young couple, while fighting against the "Black Dragon" that was terrorizing the village, both lost their lives. Later, the "White Elephant" arrived and subdued the "Black Dragon." To celebrate the "White Elephant’s" victory and ensure the "Black Dragon" would never rise again, the villagers created a statue of the "Black Dragon" being trampled under the "White Elephant’s" hoof and built a temple for it. Soon after, two trees grew at the spot where the young couple had died, entwined and embracing each other. This is the origin of the Love Tree.

The faithful love of the young couple—who were born together, struggled together, and even in death remained united as trees—deeply moved the villagers and earned their reverence. That’s why people often come to worship the "Love Tree," and some even make wishes under it, none of which go unanswered.
