Kaxia River Primitive Eco-Rafting is located in Shigu Township, Shiqian County, in the eastern part of Guizhou Province. Shiqian is rich in geothermal resources and is known as the "City of Springs." It is close to Chongqing, Huaihua and Fenghuang in Hunan Province, and is part of the eastern Guizhou premium tourism route along with Zhenyuan and Fanjing Mountain.

The most thrilling spot has a 6-meter drop over just a 10-meter-long rapid, offering a heart-pounding yet safe adventure that lets you truly enjoy the thrill and excitement of rafting. The high bridge waterfall upstream of the Kaxia River is even more beautiful and enchanting. Underground water finds an exit through a karst cave in the middle of the cliff, gushing out and splitting into two parts that flow into the river — one side is a beautiful and graceful waterfall, the other a gentle stream. Drifting under the graceful waterfall, feeling the water rush down from above, is like becoming a carefree swordsman in the martial world, drinking joyfully under the pouring water. The feeling is so real, the scene so beautiful and captivating, and the experience so awe-inspiring. Eight meters downstream from the waterfall, a high stone arch bridge spans the river. This bridge is called the "High Bridge." Built in the mid-Qing Dynasty, legend has it that a wealthy family with no children, wishing to accumulate merit and benefit the local community, spent all their fortune and even sought donations across the region (a traditional form of fundraising for charity) to build this stone bridge over three years. During construction, the towering trees on both riverbanks were first cut down, and their trunks were placed across the river as temporary supports. Workers then built the bridge from those horizontal logs, using only stones and lime. The stones were chiseled into rectangular shapes by stonemasons and layered with lime (a white powder made from fired stones), constructed piece by piece by hand. At the time, traveling from Yinjiang to Shigu for markets required a long journey, and transportation was extremely inconvenient. During floods, the river became impassable. After the bridge was built, it greatly improved cross-river traffic and is still in use today. The underground hot river hot springs downstream of the Kaxia River have miraculous therapeutic effects. The hot spring water flows out from a karst cave that is 204.6 meters long, with a maximum height of 40 meters, a minimum of 0.5 meters, a maximum width of 15 meters, and a minimum of 0.5 meters. The water temperature is 34°C, with a flow rate of 47.3 liters per second, hardness of 0.277–0.282 grams per liter, total hardness of 12.70–12.89 German degrees, and contains trace elements such as 12.1 mg/L of strontium, 0.36 mg/L of barium, 10.65–18.69 Eman of radon, 16.47–22.53 mg/L of silicic acid. The water quality is excellent, can be consumed directly, and is especially suitable for therapy.
