The Qingshui River flows for 58 kilometers within Jinping County, of which 45 kilometers are in the scenic area. The scenery along the Qingshui River may seem unremarkable at first glance

, but upon closer inspection, it reveals delicate and captivating beauty. The river alternates between stretches of rapids and calm pools, combining rugged grandeur with serene seclusion, as well as unrestrained vigor and gentle tranquility. Towering pine-covered mountains line both banks, lush and emerald green, with villages nestled among them and houses standing in close rows.

The landscape changes with the seasons — sometimes wildflowers bloom in vibrant profusion, painting the slopes in a riot of colors; sometimes fresh green grass and trees reflect against drifting clouds; sometimes turbulent waves

surge to the sky, their roar shaking the valley; other times the water thins into a clear, smooth flow, like liquid jade pouring gently. With the completion of the Sanbanxi Hydropower Station and the Guazhi Hydropower Station, a spectacular "high gorges turned into a flat lake"

will create a breathtaking view, resembling a jade pool in the heavens.
