The Baili Primitive Broadleaf Forest Scenic Area spans Jiuyang, NanShao, and Taiyong in Jianhe County, stretching 100 kilometers and covering an area of 150,000 mu. It is the largest well-preserved subtropical primitive broadleaf forest in Guizhou Province to date. The area features towering ancient trees and dense foliage that block out the sun. It is home to over 50 species of rare plants and animals under national protection, as well as attractions such as the Wumu River rafting, NanShao Guanyin Pavilion, Ten-Mile Azalea Grove, Laoshanjie, Ancient Tallest Fir Trees, Bayan Mountain, and the 18-square-kilometer Liriodendron Natural Reserve, the Liding Qianqiu Stele, the Fujian Cypress Biological Community, the NanShao Water Resort, and ethnic villages including Jiuyang, Jiuxi, and Fanzhao, along with the Jiulian Miao Ethnic Relocation Site. It is an ideal destination for eco-tourism focused on exploration and summer retreats.
