Riverside Park in Guiyang is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Riverside Park is located in the southwest of downtown Guiyang, nestled against hills and beside water, giving it a quaint and charming appearance. Flower stands, fish ponds, art galleries, and dance halls are interspersed throughout, while pavilions, towers, and recreational facilities are tucked away among lush greenery.

It’s a great spot for visitors to enjoy tea, play chess, admire the scenery, and relax. Many leisurely visitors sing folk songs or walk their birds here, adding to the park’s unique atmosphere. The children's playground in the park is a joyful world for kids.

Located in the southwest of downtown Guiyang, it faces Huancheng South Road in the front and borders the Nanming River in the back.

Hence the name Riverside Park. At the southern foot of the hill behind the park, the river water is clear with weeping willows hanging low, making it an ideal place for summer swimming. On the opposite bank upstream, there used to be a large willow tree, which is why the park was originally called "Willow Bay." The entire park can be roughly divided into three sections based on its entertainment functions: the children’s amusement area, the science exhibition area, and the quiet rest area. The children’s amusement area is in the northeast part of the park, to the left of the main entrance. Here, a small Ilyushin Il-14 passenger plane is parked in the playground for children to view, along with various battery-powered spaceships, spinning chairs, and a large "merry-go-round" built in the 1990s. There is also a lit basketball court. The science exhibition area frequently hosts various science and technology exhibitions, providing a venue for Guiyang’s science enthusiasts. The rest area is the main part of the park. On the highest hill is a cinema, and facing it from afar is the Dongfeng Pavilion. There is a roller skating rink by the river. The park also has a peach orchard, flower beds, and greenhouses. In spring, the peach blossoms bloom vibrantly. The flower beds cultivate plants such as winter jasmine, camellias, and chrysanthemums, while the greenhouse houses potted flowers including roses, asparagus ferns, clivia, night-blooming cereus, cycads, and epiphyllum. The entire park features over 60,000 square meters of flowers, trees, and lawns, with more than 660,000 square meters of green space, and often hosts events such as "Chrysanthemum Exhibitions" and "Orchid Exhibitions."
