As one of the rare and well-preserved modern-era theater buildings — the Tea Garden Street Wanshou Palace Theater — it dates back approximately 200 years. Due to its unique architectural structure, exquisite stone and wood carvings, and significant historical value, it was listed as a county-level key cultural relic protection site by the Jinsha County government in the 1980s. Since 2003, through the advocacy of the county Party committee's propaganda department, the county bureau of culture and tourism, and the Tea Garden Township government, as well as the persistent efforts of the county cultural relics management office, it has garnered high attention from the provincial and regional cultural departments. Over 10,000 yuan was allocated for the protective restoration of Wanshou Palace, effectively preserving the building’s original appearance. Recently, at the request of the provincial and regional cultural departments, the county cultural relics management office visited Tea Garden Township, where staff from the county television station filmed both the interior and exterior of the Wanshou Palace Theater to produce a special documentary video, which was submitted for evaluation as a provincial-level key cultural relic protection site. This exquisite ancient building, the Tea Garden Wanshou Palace Theater, will receive better protection and development.
