Baoxing Ancient Tea Horse Road

The Baoxing Ancient Tea Horse Road is a cultural heritage protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Baoxing Ancient Tea Horse Road

Age: Ming to Qing Dynasties

In 2012, the Baoxing Ancient Tea Horse Road was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial-level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the People’s Government of Sichuan Province.

1. Caojiacun Section of Baotian Ancient Road Site

Protection area: within the site’s occupied land.

Construction control zone: 10 meters beyond the sides of the trail steps.

2. Longpianqiao Plank Road Site

Protection area: within the site’s occupied land, extending east to the riverbed and west 10 meters up the cliff above the plank road.

Construction control zone: 40 meters east, south, and north beyond the protection area, and 90 meters west.

3. Muping Tusi Yamen Site

Protection area: within the 1,000 square meter site area.

Construction control zone: 20 meters beyond the remaining walls of the site.

4. Yang Family Courtyard

Protection area: within the existing 700 square meter area, extending 5 meters east, west, and north, and to the edge of the small ditch to the south.

Construction control zone: 20 meters east, west, and north beyond the protection area, and to the edge of the small ditch to the south.

5. Lingguan Guanyin Temple

Protection area: within the existing occupied area. Total area: 160 square meters.

Construction control zone: 15 meters east beyond the protection area, to the residential area to the south, 20 meters west, and 10 meters north.

6. Zhajiaoba Watchtower (Baoxing County)

Protection area: within the 70 square meter area occupied by the watchtower.

Construction control zone: 210 meters east and north to Provincial Highway S210, and 20 meters west and south.
