The founding date is unknown. The temple faces south and has a two-courtyard layout. Along the central axis are, in sequence, a theater stage, the Shuiliu Hall, and the Five Directions Buddha Hall. On either side of the halls there are seven corridor rooms. The site covers an area of over 2,800 square meters.

The Five Directions Buddha Hall is a Yuan Dynasty structure, with a five-bay width and three-bay depth, and a single-eave hanging hip roof. The bracket sets are of the variety typical of the late Yuan to early Ming period. The hall’s wooden structure displays distinct features from that era. On the eastern and western sides of the front eaves and ridge purlins are painted murals. The lower parts of the walls have murals inscribed with the words “Painted in the XXth Year of the Chongzhen Reign” etc. Further reading:
