Bo Wang Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Bo Wang Mountain (formerly known as Bowang Mountain) is located in Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is a mountainous provincial-level scenic area, covering a total area of 60 square kilometers. In February 2000, Bo Wang Mountain was officially designated as a provincial key scenic spot by the People's Government of Sichuan Province. In February 2005, it was recognized by UNESCO as the Bo Wang Mountain section of the Global Geopark.

Bo Wang Mountain rises abruptly from the flatlands, with steep cliffs towering on all sides. Its main peak, Black Hat Summit, soars into the clouds at an elevation of 1,180 meters. The mountain is covered with lush vegetation and vast bamboo forests, offering a serene and elegant atmosphere. Natural features such as mountain valley streams, waterfalls, lakes, caves, and uniquely shaped rocks are naturally formed and harmoniously integrated. Although the Bo people no longer exist, their ancient strongholds remain, exuding a mysterious allure. Bo Wang Mountain has been a renowned peak since ancient times. It was formerly called Stone Big Stockade or Lúnfú Big Stockade,

and also known as Nan Shou Mountain. Since the Song Dynasty, this area has been the homeland of the Du Zang people (i.e., the Bo people). The county annals record:

In the fifth year of the Zhenghe era during the Northern Song Dynasty (1115 AD), the Wu Dou Yi people (a branch of the Bo people) used this mountain as their base to launch a rebellion, hence Bowang Mountain is also called Bo Wang Mountain. To this day, the mountain still preserves battlefield relics built by the Bo people, including large and small fortress gates, ancient city walls, and castles. Ticket Information · Opening Hours

Transportation

Bo Wang Mountain is 90 kilometers west of Yibin and 130 kilometers north of Luzhou. Visitors can take a bus to Bo Wangshan Town in Xingwen County to reach the mountain.
