The Shaba Red Army Martyrs' Monument is a classic site of red tourism.

The Shaba Red Army Martyrs' Monument is located in Shaba Village, Daba Miao Ethnic Township, Xingwen County, at the local place known as Baiyangpo, 31 kilometers from the county seat of Xingwen.

On February 5, 1935, during the Long March, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army traveled from Dahe to Daba and then split into two routes en route to Zhaxi (present-day Weixin), Yunnan. One of the routes was taken by the First Red Army Corps, which passed through Daba to Jianwu. While withdrawing from Daba, they passed through Shaba, and the areas along the way such as "Dashipo" and "Wushierbu" (both local place names) were sites of fierce battles between the Red Army and the enemy at that time. The Red Army rear guard unit was ambushed by four militia battalions and one regular enemy company at Baiyangpo, resulting in the sacrifice of over 30 Red Army soldiers.

On August 1, 1973, to commemorate these valiantly fallen Red Army martyrs, the then Shaba Commune's Zhandou Brigade built the Shaba Red Army Monument. The entire structure covers an area of 5 square meters. The monument stands 2 meters tall and is 1 meter wide, with a 2-meter-high natural limestone base. Part of the martyrs' remains are buried in a cave behind the monument.
