Zhu Family Residence

Zhu Family Residence is a cultural relics protection unit of Sichuan Province.

Zhu Family Residence is known as "the largest Sino-Western style building in southern Sichuan." Built in 1935, it was the home of Zhu Dawen, an enlightened gentry member from Hengjiang Town, and is also a provincial-level key cultural relics protection unit.

The entire residence covers an area of about 2,400 square meters, with a built-up area of 1,337 square meters. In the courtyard, there is a main building in a Western-style imitation, consisting of one floor above ground and one below, with a brick-and-wood structure. It includes a hallway, guest rooms, the main hall, and living quarters. Passing through the patio behind the building leads to the kitchen, storage rooms, and other areas, with a small watchtower located diagonally forward on the right. The watchtower is 20 meters high, has five floors, and covers an area of 200 square meters. The small watchtower features a green-tiled roof, with the lower section constructed from blue stone and the upper section from solid brick walls. The walls have firing holes on all four sides, and the third floor is specially equipped with bomb-throwing ports that project outward from the tower. The entire residence integrates both Chinese and Western architectural styles.

Protection Area: 10 meters eastward from the main gate to the office of Minzhu Community, 50 meters westward to No. 62 Minzhu Community Small Street, 18 meters southward to the Fitness Plaza, and 20 meters northward to the former Water Pipe Station Office.

Construction Control Zone: 8 meters eastward, 18 meters westward, 8 meters southward, and 10 meters northward beyond the Protection Area.
