Xuzhou District Martyrs' Cemetery is located on Gongzi Mountain in Baixi Town, Yibin County. Established in 1982, the cemetery covers an area of 33.3 acres. The main feature is a 15-meter-high Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, behind which lie 127 martyr tombs. Actual memorial plaques have been erected for 115 martyrs who sacrificed their lives in different revolutionary periods and during the socialist modernization drive, including Liu Hua, Lu Deming, Zheng Youzhi, and Zhao Yiman (including 10 unnamed martyrs). Among them, Martyr Liu Dangzhi, a native of Shuangyi Township, Yibin County, was an early member of the Chinese Communist Party in Yibin County. He was killed by the Kuomintang reactionaries in 1931 near Huayan Temple west of Yibin City. After the liberation of Yibin, his remains were relocated to Yibin County Martyrs' Cemetery. Wu Xifan, from Nixi Town, Yibin County, was one of the leaders of the Datuo Peasant Uprising in Yibin. He was captured by stationed troops on November 21, 1929, and died a heroic death. After the liberation of Yibin, his remains were also moved to Yibin County Martyrs' Cemetery. The cemetery includes a memorial hall that displays biographies of related revolutionary martyrs from Yibin County and exhibits some of their personal belongings. These include 79 portraits and photos of martyrs, 14 historical documents, and 89 explanatory notes. The overall layout has now become a public welfare site integrating “cemetery and park.”

In 1995, Xuzhou District Martyrs' Cemetery was designated as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit and patriotic education base by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. In 2000, it was recognized as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit and national defense education base by the Yibin Municipal National Defense Education Committee. In 2005, it was further affirmed as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit and national defense education base by the Yibin Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Municipal Government.
