Happiness Commune is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Yibin Happiness Commune Agrarian Culture Ecological Park is located in Dafoshan, Zailing Village, Xijie Town, Yibin County, 10 kilometers from Yibin County, 280 kilometers from Chengdu (13 kilometers from Yibin Airport Station on the Chengdu-Kunming Expressway), and 1.5 kilometers from the Yulong Exit of the Yiping Expressway. The planned construction area covers 2,200 mu, with a total project investment of 210 million yuan. Phase I covers 313 mu with an investment of 50 million yuan, Phase II an investment of 70 million yuan, and Phase III an investment of 90 million yuan. The park centers around agrarian culture experiences and forestry sightseeing/flower appreciation, integrating educational, sightseeing, recreational, wedding photography, and experiential elements. It allows friends, especially teenagers, to regularly experience agrarian culture here—giving them a deep understanding of the true meaning behind “hoeing the crops under the midday sun, sweat dripping onto the soil beneath the plants,” as well as the essence of “who knows that every single grain in the bowl is the fruit of hard toil.” Here, we can inherit the cultural heritage of our ancestors, draw wisdom from the labor of sages, and teach children to cherish today’s happy life.

The park is divided into various sections including: the Visitor Reception Center, Agrarian Tool Exhibition Area, Agrarian Lifestyle Area, Agrarian Leisure Park, Rural Children’s Fun Zone, Garden-style Outdoor Adventure Area, Countryside Scenic Area, as well as activities such as self-service barbecues, fruit picking, eco-fishing, large lawn music plaza, chicken and rabbit catching in the woods, fish catching in ditches, rock climbing, camping, seasonal flower seas, water parks, forest CS games, field adventures, specialty dining, and more than 40 other large and small projects. Currently, there is a standard Agrarian Culture Corridor, a Commune Canteen that can accommodate 1,000 diners at once, the world-record-holding “World’s Largest Plow,” as well as a large marketplace offering a variety of local specialties and handicrafts.

Xijie Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Yibin County. Established as Xijie Township during the Xuantong period of the Qing Dynasty, it was designated as a town in 1951, reverted to township status in 1956, changed to a commune in 1958, restored as a township in 1984, and again became a town in 1986. Located in the central part of the county on the southern bank of the Min River, it is 17 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 89.9 square kilometers with a population of 37,000, the Min River is navigable year-round and roads are accessible.
