Lizhuang Jade Buddha Temple

The Lizhuang Jade Buddha Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Sichuan Province.

The Jade Buddha Temple is located on Xianzishi Street in Lizhuang Town, facing south with an area of over 2,000 square meters. The temple is relatively well-preserved and consists of two quadrangle-style complexes, including a grand entrance gate, a theater stage, front and rear halls, and side rooms. The theater stage features a single-eave hip-and-gable wooden roof structure, showcasing fine wood carving artistry.

The Jade Buddha Temple was renamed from Tiānshàng Gōng. Tiānshàng Gōng was built in 1845 (the 25th year of the Daoguang reign in the Qing Dynasty) through funds raised by immigrants from Fujian. It also served the function of a Fujian guild hall and enshrined the statue of the Heavenly Holy Mother, also known as the Goddess of the Sea.
