Orange Fragrance Town is located in Longxing Village, Muping Town, Cuiping District, Yibin City. Muping Town is rich in resources and boasts fertile land, earning it the reputation of the “Granary of Cuiping.” The area is dotted with streams, reservoirs, and ponds, offering breathtaking natural scenery. It is known as the “Hometown of Green Corridors,” the “Orange Township of Southern Sichuan,” and a “Provincial Ecological Demonstration Town.”

The Orange Fragrance Town scenic area features an excellent ecological environment and abundant rural natural and cultural tourism resources. The area enjoys high forest coverage, beautiful scenery, lush greenery, an elegant environment, and fresh air. The scenic area is situated in Longxing Village, which has a strong rural charm, featuring undulating hills, clear-flowing streams, as well as orchards, farmland, woodlands, and farmhouses full of local flavor. This rural landscape combines economic, ecological, social, and aesthetic values, making it highly attractive to urban visitors. The area has a rich local culture, preserving vibrant folk traditions of southern Sichuan, such as fire dragon parades, Lantern Festival celebrations, and flower lantern performances. Longxing Village in Muping Town, where the scenic area is located, has completed the construction of a 5,000-mu citrus base, establishing the most standardized citrus demonstration garden in southern Sichuan. The area is fully committed to building a unique “Orange Fragrance Town,” and the tourism image of “Orange Township of Southern Sichuan, the Most Enchanting Muping” has become deeply rooted in people’s hearts. Especially notable is the scenic area’s reliance on modern agricultural technology to develop the citrus industry, creating a Southwest China demonstration base for the China Citrus Cultivation Innovation and Transformation Academician Workstation. It has introduced high-quality citrus varieties with independent intellectual property rights in China, such as “Jinhuang,” making the scenic area an important hub for agricultural technological innovation and ecological science education. The bougainvillea base in the scenic area offers dozens of bougainvillea products and has introduced over 80 varieties from both domestic and international sources. It has built a bougainvillea science education and sales center, as well as propagation greenhouses, aiming to become Sichuan’s first bougainvillea-themed agritourism integration demonstration base that combines science education, sightseeing, wedding photography, and production, sales, and research. The scenic area’s high-quality plum orchard picking base spans over 400 mu, featuring beautiful scenery where visitors can “admire the flowers in spring, taste the fruit in summer, and enjoy wellness in autumn,” experiencing rural farming life. Additionally, within the “Yichangxing” Wuliangye liquor-specific grain base agricultural project, a 1,000-mu citrus intercropped with sorghum base for liquor production has been established. By organically integrating the construction of liquor-specific grain bases with leisure tourism, pastoral culture, and other elements, visitors can admire the spectacular sorghum fields, participate in sorghum photography competitions, and watch sorghum harvesting activities.

Longxing Village: Longxing Village is located at the Muping exit of the Yixu Expressway, with the picturesque Yichang Tourist Route passing through it. The village administers five agricultural production cooperatives, with 355 households, a total population of 1,363, and 32 Party members, covering an area of 4.3 square kilometers. The new rural residential community consists of 29 households and was named a Yibin Municipal Civilized Village in 2017.
