Ruoergai Hetuo Hot Spring Valley Scenic Area is located in Hetuo Village, Hongxing Town, Ruoergai County, Sichuan Province. The scenic area sits at an altitude of 3,200 to 3,600 meters above sea level, with an average annual temperature of 7°C. Covering an area of over 10,000 acres, the site includes basic infrastructure, natural hot springs, restaurants, resort hot spring hotels, distinctive vacation homestays, a commercial street, a ski resort, and other facilities.

The scenic area gets its name from its abundant natural self-flowing hot springs. Nestled in a valley and built along the mountain, the landscape stretches from north to south and offers comprehensive scenic views. “A staircase into the mountains seems to pierce the clouds, while the water’s surface meets the low-hanging clouds.” Hetuo Hot Spring Valley is a premium hot spring experience destination developed by Shiyun Group, focusing on hot spring experiences and pristine alpine ecology, and strategically situated along three premier travel routes: Great Jiuzhaigou, Western Sichuan, and Gannan Grasslands.

The scenic area is a natural ecological tourism destination centered around valley hot springs, sightseeing, and leisure vacations. Surrounded by mountains, the area features rugged rocks, lush forests, grasslands, and water landscapes, all set against a backdrop of highland meadows. It is home to rare vegetation such as alpine cypress and serves as a habitat for precious wildlife including the forest musk deer (also known as the "river deer"). The area boasts dozens of natural hot spring pools, such as Fairy Hot Spring Pool, Endless Hot Spring Pool, Purification Spring, Body & Mind Spring, Cave Spring, and Indoor Hot Spring. There are also unique landscape spots like Harmonious Home, Embassy, Mirror of the Sky, Love Slope, Magpie Peak, Floating Clouds, and Eco Sightseeing Road.

The hot spring water here is rich in beneficial trace elements. The springs are carefully developed, preserving their natural underground sources. Dozens of magical hot spring eyes, primarily the “Horse-Headed Vajra Divine Spring,” maintain a year-round temperature of around 35°C. These springs offer therapeutic benefits, are pleasantly warm, and are safe for bathing for all ages. Currently, the open hot spring pools include Fairy Spring, Purification Spring, Cleansing Spring, and Endless Hot Spring.
